DESERT DIARIES

About a two hour car ride east of Los Angeles, you'll find the breathtaking
Joshua Tree National Park. A vast area in the middle of nowhere surrounded by
rugged rocks, desert landscape and of course covered with Joshua trees.
Even though millions of people travel to Joshua Tree every year, you'll feel completely alone in the 3,200 km² park.
A perfect place to reflect and find inspiration, according to designer Jannik Olander.

While in Joshua Tree, Jannik wore a bracelet stack that stood out against the
beige and brown desert hues. Shop his look below..

The next day, he complemented the landscape colors by wearing an elastic
bracelet with Blue Tiger Eye and Ebony adorned with a gold Buddha -
a symbol for wisdom, compassion, balance, determination, grace and
courage. Shop the full Buddha Collection here

When creating our African Vintage Glass Beaded Bracelets, Olander was actually
inspired by desert landscape and a casual, bohemian lifestyle. The African
beads are over 50 years old and were made by hand in Ghana back in the day.
Olander paired the vintage beads with semi-precious stones and added a touch of
gold for a signature Nialaya look. Shop the look below..
